September 6th, 2012It’s been a few weeks between posts and honestly it’s because I’ve been in a state of OMG! What was I thinking taking on so much to organise all at once?!
Now that I’ve gotten the spring edition of Living Wellness magazine off to the printers I’m free to focus clearly on the Women’s Wellness Event.
It is a trick because there are two sides to the coin. The front of house is to promote the event to women interested in wellness and sell the event tickets. We’ve sold 40 so far which is a great start!! We’re aiming for 100 or more women so if you’re keen and haven’t got your ticket yet, now’s your chance!
The other side of the coin is to co-ordinate with all the other event stake holders, they are the wellness small businesses and practitioners who will be sharing their products, services and activities on the day.
Today I had the privilege of connecting with a wonderful woman named Gay Harden who is the chair of the Gawler and Surrounds Women’s Health Action Group. She is a passionate lady who has been volunteering for years to establish quality free health & wellbeing services and facilities for women in the Gawler community. She and her team will also have a presence at the event.
And today I learned that the Gawler council will be considering a request for event sponsorship next Tuesday! Fingers are tightly crossed.
Although I am a small business myself my passion for wellness goes far beyond it simply being my paid work. I do this work because I LOVE this work. I want to see everyone possible access all the support they need to be their absolute best and we all need support!
For me this event is a chance to bring together all local parties with an interest in wellness, government, non profits, community groups, businesses and individuals to deliver an event that truly uplifts and inspires. How exciting is our future when we all come together for the greater good!
Your help in spreading the word about this special event would be a great contribution.
