Self Belief – what’s that about?

September 24th, 2011
Journal Junky adventure

Home from my adventure to Sydney, where I got to fulfil a childhood dream of visiting Mullawa Arabian farm. A beautiful horsy heaven filled with gorgeous horse after gorgeous horse. It was awesome!

I have my friend Roxane to thank for getting me there. She purchased a 2 for one ticket for the national achievers congress, and thanks to her hubby’s lack of interest I got to go!

So we flew on over, hired a car and headed out to Mullawa. I drove in Sydney for the first time, which was a bit of an adventure in itself.

We stayed just near Darling Harbour an easy walk to the Entertainment Centre where the congress was held.

Ordinarily I don’t do anything without knowing ‘why’ I’m doing it. In the case of this Sydney trip I just had to trust that even though it didn’t seem to fit with my thinking on where I needed to be and what I need to be doing (I am in the middle of launching Living Wellness Magazine after all). That upon arriving, all would be revealed. And it was!

The most of the congress was a variety of speakers selling their own wealth systems and strategies. And they were interesting enough, but not what I was there for.

The highlights for me where Tony Robbins firstly of all. He was really cool! Such a high energy, wise, insightful and motivational guy. I really enjoyed experiencing what a super dooper coach brings to people. And felt inspired to bring even more energy, passion and enthusiasm to my own coaching practise.

Another highlight was getting to hear Robert Kiyosaki in person. Speaking about his Rich Dad business, he shared generously from his own personal story and experience. It felt like I got to peek behind the curtain and see what it’s really like to be a super successful entrepreneur. He showed it’s certainly not about knowing everything or being perfect in anyway. It’s about rolling up your sleeves and doing what needs to be done to have your business thrive. It’s about assuming ever greater responsibility and making an ever greater contribution. It’s about strength of character and integrity. It’s about constant and never ending improvement. Knowing that you never arrive, that there’s always a creating, learning & refining process going on.

And then we had Harv. T Harv Eker, is a guy who I’ve been wanting to see for a long while, ever since I read his millionaire mind book the first time. Harv is also a coach and trainer who focuses on having people bust through their internal money blocks for the purpose of living abundant lives.

And that is something I am totally committed to. Wealth! Mega wealth! Bring it on I say! The more money I have the bigger the scale of the positive change I can affect on this planet. I’m up for wealth!

And funny ‘cause currently money is a bit tight J that’s an understatement! My hubby’s work has all but dried up. He’s certainly not alone. There are many tradies scratching for work in this current economic climate. We have an investment property to sell, but alas to this time it remains unsold, again in a tough market where people who would like to buy our house can’t necessarily get the money from the bank.

And me, well I’m two years into a start up business with Journal Junky and 18months in to a start up business with my massage & Reiki. And I’m really just fumbling around finding my way. I’m certainly not bringing in the big bucks yet.

So my heart was breaking a little as I listened to Harv and connected to the value and the power of all he had to say. I was wishing and hoping and praying that there’d be some way for me to go to his 3 day live training here in OZ at the end of November. I had actually emailed Harv after reading his book to ask him to bring his training here.

And there he was on stage announcing the dates. I waited to hear the price knowing that pretty much no amount would be small enough to make it a practical choice for me at this time.  Then he pulled out a list and announced some lucky people had won a free spot. Hope welled again as I thought, maybe. I really do want this!

Imagine my delight when he announced that in fact EVERYONE’S name was on the list and that we all had tickets to attend either his Sydney or Melbourne training totally for FREE!! WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!! I think I was the most thrilled of everyone.

And so it is that Toby, Kye and I are all off to Melbourne at the end of November. And I can’t wait! That was truly the greatest highlight of the whole event for me.

But there was still more! One other really cool thing that I learnt was that TRUST is the new currency. In our uncertain economy, trust is what matters most and what will get things done. Great for me as I am a very trustworthy person. Rich in the new currency!!

Last but certainly not least was Donald Trump. And I didn’t think I’d like the Donald. I’ve always found him a little too pompous for my liking. And he is a bit of a chauvinist and he doesn’t believe in global warming (whilst considering himself a pretty smart guy). Still I learnt A LOT!

He spoke about the ability to handle pressure as a defining quality for successful entrepreneurs. Which really hit home for me. When you commit to a life of growth and expansion. When you commit to a life of challenges and problem solving, pressure is a constant factor. Which means you’d best be able to enjoy yourself and love your life accepting the pressure as part and parcel. Light bulb moment! I might as well just get comfy with the pressure and get on with creating the life I’m here to create.

The other key thing that I took from the whole congress was the absolute need to believe in and back oneself in order to be successful. This is an area I’ve been a little shaky on, I’m willing to admit.

I’ve kind of hoped that someone else would come along and notice how awesome I am, discover me and that success would just kind arrive somehow all of its own accord.

When the truth as I now see is, I need to deem myself worthy. I need to believe in myself. I need to see myself as victorious. And I need to keep going, doing what it takes for as long as it takes to get my message out to the world.

Serving more people & bringing more value is the way to make mega bucks in a way that truly fulfils I believe. So that’s what I’m working on.

And what is my stadium statement? The marketing guy asked us, if we were to stand up in front of the 10000 strong crowd at the congress, what would our message be? What is it that we offer?

And I’ve pondered this. I am here to live my dream life and to help other people to live theirs too. I’m about raising awareness and helping people understand and practise conscious creation!

That is getting clear on what your dreams really are. Not the surface crap either, I’m talking your deepest souls desires. And then understanding the step by step path to have your dreams become your life.

The most exciting part is that I can actually do this! I have the knowledge, the understanding and the experience. I’ve created a pretty fucking amazing life for myself and my family so far, if I do say so myself (which I have to as that’s where self belief comes in).

And it’s time for me to start telling people how it is I’m able to help them get on their path of true happiness and dream life creation.

So I’m excited! As I’m loving life. My life is full and rich. I’m so loved it’s awesome, surrounded by amazingly good people, I’m healthy and feel pretty fab most of the time. My work is all set up. I have a smorgasbord of things I LOVE to do, writing, teaching, coaching, guiding, my hands on healing work, I love it all! And now it’s simply time to have the money flow freely in. And it’s started!

Stay tuned to see what’s possible with my newly decided upon self belief! Love, Soli
