I’ve bitten off more than I can chew!

Behind the scenes of the Living Wellness Women’s Event.
The truth is currently I’m feeling very much like I’ve bitten off more than I can chew! What was I thinking?? Who thinks it’s a good idea to create a BIG women’s wellness event based on nothing but inspiration? This is by far the biggest event I’ve ever arranged.
It’s exciting and it’s terrifying all at once.
We have our wonderful venue booked in. St Brigid’s has been great; welcoming and accommodating. We have our Date, our time, our program. As of today we have our inspirational line up of speakers.
We have Organic Box , an SA based organic food delivery business on board as a major sponsor. Which means lots of fresh yummy nibbles to enjoy on the day. We also have Kayla Thompson, founder and owner of Natural Naughties Raw Food Cooking Classes coming along to do a live raw food demo on the day.
We have a lot of the pieces in place. Our beautiful tickets are already selling well and our bright and vibrant promotional posters will be printed ready for the 1st of August when tickets officially go on sale.
We have a bunch of local wellness businesses putting a whole lot of love, care and support into making this day a huge success.
The next big step is getting the costing right behind the scenes. My job as the event organiser is to find a way to cover all the cost and make sure the event is super amazing value not just for the women who come along for the great wellness experience, but also for all the many wellness business owners and professionals who will be involved in sharing and promoting their wellness products and services on the day.
This is the tricky bit. Getting the balance where everyone wins! I’m in discussion with two excellent national wellness businesses in hopes they may become event sponsors. And I’ve started discussions with our local council this week too in hopes between these three organisations we might get the capital investment we need to reduce costs and make the event as affordable as possible for all the small local businesses wanting to get on board.
I know the money part isn’t that sexy or exciting, but hey this is the behind the scenes blog post :). This is the very important next piece of the puzzle that needs to come together to make this day as brilliant for everyone as it is intended to be.
I’m really stretching myself. Going beyond the boundaries of what it is I’ve done before and what feels comfortable. This is about delivering on the promise I’ve made to create an event that really makes a positive difference for everyone involved.
Special thanks this week go to the creative powerhouse that is Sallyann Ralph of helloBABY designs. Without your support my friend I would not have even considered taking this project on. I love you.
Stay tuned for the great unfolding………..and get your tickets here
